About Me

My name is Susan Wanjiru Kiarie I am a firstborn in family of three siblings .I now live in Kitale town ,Trans nzoia county Rift valley province. I am married and a mother of one daughter. I have a Diploma in Beauty and hairdressing being brought up by a single mother my school life was challenging but through small savings, my mother made from small farm and well-wishers I made it to college. I have managed to start hair and beauty salon located at railway line Kitale town I started the business to earn a living and invest further. I am aiming in opening a cosmetic shop, which will help me double the current income. I use the income from my business to pay rent,electricity and other bills.
During my free time I love swimming, traveling, socializing and volunteering to help the needy.

My Business

My beauty and hairdressing business is located in Kitale town CBD that makes it an idle for high profits since I render my services to people residing in Kitale town and the surrounding outskirts of Kitale since they come to Kitale town for these services. I started this business through my small savings and with the help of my parent. I have been able to expand it through the income I get i.e I have purchased a new dryer and blow dry. I also use the income from the business to pay bills and school fees for my daughter and part of it to invest more.I have employed one lady who we work with at the salon.
Since i am trained in this area i love job and my clients love my services very much since i offer quality and satisfactory service.

Loan Proposal

Zidisha loan has boosted my business in terms of stock and hence meeting the rising demands from my customers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lenders and Zidisha community for my previous loan which gave me a great opportunity to expand my business taking it to a higher level through which my profit margin increased tremendously over the past one month .
When given this second loan I am planning in stocking more cosmetics and braids which has a good sales performance.
I am also planning in adding a new hair dryer to this will enable me serve many customers at once and therefore increase my profits.
I require approximately $ 250 for the business venture to be achieved.
My estimated budget is:-

• Buying cosmetic s and braids stock @ = $125
• Hair dryer @ = $ 125
When granted the loan by the Zidisha lenders I promise not to fall in arrears and I will strive to maintain my historical record of 100% on time repayment.
I will also use the income to reinvest further.
