About Me

My name is Peter Mwangi, kenyan born and raised, grew up in the suburbs of Nairobi with my my two other siblings,my brother and sister. i schooled at Murema primary school where i got my certificate in primary education( c.p.e)in 2002.i later joined highschool for my O-levels in Central Kenya at Kaheti boys high School, and attained a mean grade of C+ in my exams in 2006. In 2007 i joined Strathmore University to pursue Bachelor of Commerce in business administration, however i dropped out in my third year due to lack of fees. I did casual jobs to cater for my needs as my parents could cater for both my needs and my other siblings needs and hence i decided to move out to fend for myself. One of the things that motivates me is knowing that i am not alone and the there is a higher being who always shapes my destiny and that is Jesus,Over all these time i have been fending for myself, there is no one point i have ever been implicating in any wrong doing or found myself in a company that takes me astray. i thank God for the protection as i have not gone down the lane of taking drugs and other illicits as youth of my time do .my mentor Rev .Edward Kihanga of the Anglican Church has been instrumental in giving me directions and guiding me whenever he saw i was in need of advice.
I was employed as a sales person in a second hand selling shop, from where i saved up enough capital in 2014 to start my own business, initially it was challenging as i made a loss in the first month but because second hand business is a fast picking business i had broken even by the fourth month.

My Business

My business goes by the name Jamunja Enterprises, the name is derived from my late mothers name,Jane Muthoni Njaramba who passed on in 2008. I deal with second hand clothes, that are imported from Europe and North America. i source them locally from dealers who import them in bulk. The reason i ventured into this business is because of its high returns and minimal risks. My clients are not high end but middle income earners .My second hand clothes are relatively cheap and are highly affordable. i usually buy my clothes in bales and one goes for kshs.15,000-20,000. and with that i make profits of between kshs.8,000-10,000.I use part of my profits to re invest and i am also thinking of diversifying into second hand shoes. My expenses include but are not limited council and government levies and my store rent.
i have bigger plans for my business as i want to become a major importer and employ a few youths.it is a learning curve and i am keen on growing and become become better.

Loan Proposal

I intend to use the money in acquiring more stock, and replenishing what i already have. This will go along way in helping me with my business as i also plan to expand my store and accommodate more of the stock. The loan will be an absolute booster and will facilitate me in my business as i grow.
