About Me

My name is Sarah Asare Mathias from the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana, and I am a trader and businesswoman. I am the first of five children born to my parents. My father died in my senior high school days and my mom had to take care of the five of us alone. As a result of financial difficulties, I could not proceed to college although I had very good grades. I took to supplying A4 sheets to the photocopy shops at the University of Ghana, Legon, at a very early age, to which I used the profit to take care of myself and help my mom to raise my other siblings. So this is how come I came to start this business of selling and distributing A4 papers in large quantities. Initially when I started, I was trading on credit. I took to sell and paid later but, as time went by, I was able to save to purchase to sell.

I am a very dedicated Christian who believes in working hard. I spend my free time -- which is not often because I am always working -- to rest and think through my business and how to improve it. My dream as of the moment is to be able to trade in these A4 sheets of papers and supply to on a bigger platform since it is very lucrative. Integrity has been my life's compass and due to that I have never lost my way...

My Business

As I wrote earlier, I deal in printing papers and I only supply them to more than 12 mini printing and photocopying shops in the University of Ghana, Legon. These are highly in demand, since in our part of the world most of the materials given to students are photocopies, so those involved in this business are really making money and my supplies are on daily basis. So, at the end of the day, the operators of the shops just call me and they give me the quantities they will need for the next day, and I go to a retail and get them and just supply. Then also I am paid instantly.

I chose this kind of business because, as of the time I left high school, I did not have a lot of money to start something big. So when I say the opportunity in this business, a family member opted to help me out with the starting capital; however, I was able to repay her in just three months and made enough money to now do business on my own so I remained there.

Then one thing about this business is that you make up to 57% on your invested amount. I have been saving actually and I stay on part of my profit and help my parents too with about 30% of the profit I make in a day. The dream I have is to be able to trade on a large scale because the demand is huge, and my dream is to do this business and buy application forms and apply to the University of Ghana next year, since I can combine learning and supplying at the same time.

Loan Proposal

If and when my loan is fully funded, I will be using the full amount to purchase stock of A4 sheets of papers so as to supply the photocopying shops at the University of Ghana, Legon. That has been my business for more than five years now actually.

So I will buy five cartons of A4 sheets at an amount of $50, and then I will buy three small boxes of printing ink at the cost of $30, and finally I will buy some binding materials as well for some $ 20. Therefore all put together the total will make $100.

This activity of mine helps make photocopying so easy and accessible to all the students on the University of Ghana campus. Then for myself, it makes me a living and it will go a long way to help me save towards my higher education, after staying at home for barely five years since I completed high school. I also expect my profit to shoot up to about 40%, since the loan when funded will help to purchase more stock and that means more profit, but then I will have to work harder, which I am willing to do.

Hello my dear lenders... I bring you greetings from Ghana. thank you for your help too .I am so grateful.
Business really turned to be very slow right after I went for my inventory and that has accounted for my poor payments. I was hoping things was going to change within some two weeks period but it did. Due to this development , I have decided to reduce my payment amount. I will increase it as soon as things gets normal which I believe will not be long at all..
    thank you...

hello to all the family on the Zidish platform and to all the lenders and those that lend to me for my first loan project. i really want to express my sincere gratitude for that help since it helped me to stay in business by supplying A4 sheet to photocopier on the campus of the university of Ghana, Legon.
i am now well established and fully confident that i can expand my scale of operations now and i now have hope as a results of the previous aid. On this basis and other such that the students are about to write their exams and for that matter they are making a lot of photocopying for their course packets and etc. so what i will want to do is to take advantage of the situation since my customers are demanding more of my goods which in this case is A4 sheets of ink that is used for printing and used by the photocopy machines....
i am therefore humbly appealing to your good offices and as individuals for further help and help me to carry on with my business....
thank you in advance for your help and i am grateful....

the atual reason why i am rescheduling is to help me meet the growing demand of my supply on campus . school is about to vacate and students are doing a lot of photocopying and for that matter a lot of A4 Sheets are need all over.
so i will probably come back a big help when i finish paying. sincerely speaking, that is my actuall reason..
    thank you for the help..
