My name is Mary Ajiambo Omallah. I come from Bunyala District in Busia County. I am a fourth born in a Family of seven and I stay in Busia county, Busia Town in an Estate known as Millimani-Bondeni opposite Busia Anglican church and near Busia Law court area. I went Kudho Primary school in Kisumu and later in Kisumu Muslim Secondary school. i then stared a business of selling second hand clothes which i have been doing since february last year 2013 to date. its a good business and enables me to buy two bales of children clothing and after paying revenue i remain with a minimum profit of Kshs 1000 from every bale of clothes.
I started a business of selling second hand clothes and the business has earned me a good profit. Even though second hand clothes goes with season e.g during Christmas people prefer buying new ready made clothes, it’s a good business that has made me purchase good furniture, households and even pay school fees for my daughter from the profits. there is a demand for my business because many people prefer buying second hand clothes because they are cheap, long lasting and easy to maintain compared to knew ready made clothes.
I will use the money to build a store/shelter for my clothes and add new stock because the are highly on demand. i prefer selling secondhand clothes because there are affordable clothing for most of Busia residents. i prefer stocking children clothes from trousers, shorts, T-shirts, dress and pullover which are fast moving and very affordable, and always go with the trend, because Parents want there children to look nice and smart.
