I am 30 years old married with one child.
I was born in Nairobi.
I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur and have previously sold mobile phones before venturing out into textiles where I saw a big gap unlike the mobile phone business which was saturated and dominated by big players.
I have a bachelor of commerce degree majoring in marketing.
I love travelling and learning new cultures.
I am also an ardent sports fan and regularly attend sporting events all over the country.
I aim to grow my business into a big online retail business and expand my product offerings.
My Business
I sell bedroom textiles. These are duvets, duvet covers, pillows,bed sheets, curtains and rugs.
I am based in hurlingum nairobi.

I import the beddings from United Kingdom and sell in Nairobi.
I make home and office deliveries to customers via a courier.
My average revenues per month are $1388.
My typical costs are :
$ 40 on Facebook Advertisement
$600 on purchasing stock
$255 on shipping, logistics and customs
$77 on rent for my small office
My profits are on average 30% of my revenues £416.
I use majority of the profits on home improvements, i also re -invest part of the profits.
Loan Proposal
I will use this loan to fund my advertising on social media. 60% will go to Facebook Ads, Instagram and twitter Ads.
40% I will use for setting up a word press website with a shopping cart to be able to make online sales and also accept credit cards as I currently don't have a PDQ machine as the banks have minimum revenues before issuing one.
When I am able to accept credit cards my sales will grow as my customers will have more options for making payments and I wont have to bear the risk of sales on credit.
This is my 5th loan so far on Zidisha and I am very happy that zidisha has enabled me grow my business by boosting my cash flow which is critical.
