About Me

My names are Oscar Muga, I just turned 47 years old on 11.11.2019. I obtained college education with assistance of bursary. I have work experience of over 15 years in the transport industry. I have been involved with distribution of relief products with Non Government Organizations, UN agencies and private companies. My core specialization revolves around warehousing and distribution, My first job was with our family owned business in the Warehouse, my position was that of assistant warehouse clerk. I involved myself with all operations, from arranging and soughting of materials. Upon completion of my contract I chose to establish my own firm that that would serve specifically on relief cargo. My initial start up capital was US$.2500, one leased truck and one motorcycle and 2 support staff. I managed to secure a transport contract for distribution of food products on behalf of the Kenya Red Cross Society. The contract was for 3 years, over that period we outsourced 90% of the services as we did not have the capacity, fortunately enough we completed it with no faults and made zero profits but learnt alot during that period. My corporate social responsibility was to always contribute quarterly to various children's homes around the country. I seek assistance to enable me expand my business and extend my reach across the country to greater levels.

My Business

My business generates its income from the two accounts that we are currently handling namely for the UNDP and WFP Somalia. We normally provide them with long distance transportation of their goods to various points around the country and into Somalia. Our major challenge however is that our credit period extends beyond the agreed terms since they depend on funding from donor nations. This stretches us to uncomprehended measures.

Loan Proposal

I intend to sign a commitment contract for long term haulage services, storage services with one agency currently based in Nairobi. They are seeking a professional warehousing facility that will cater for humanitarian requirements on transit for forwarding to refugee centres out of our geographical region, namely Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo and to an extent further north on the horn of Africa, Ethiopian border.
