About Me

My name is Tabitha Atieno Okoth, aged 40 years, a wife and a mother to 6 year old boy.
i studied Front Office Management and currently work as an Administration Secretary in a Security Firm.

i have a rice business and would also which to start making home detergents and liquid soaps for sale within my village.

My Business

i have a small business that i do on the side i.e. i sell rice in our local market. i started my small business with Kshs. 2,500/=, where i bought i bag of rice of 25kg at Kshs. 2,125/= and manage to sell the rice at Kshs. 100/= per kg thus making a total profit of Kshs. 375/= for every bag of rice, this caters for market levy and other expenses.

The sale of the product also depends on the market days which is twice a week i.e. on Wednesday and Saturdays. i manage to sell a maximum of 2 bags of rice on a market day.

i would wish to increase my stock with atleast 10 bags of rice and hope to maximise on the sales on non-market days.

i saw a need in these product and went for a good quality rice vis-a vis just local rice which was also affordable.
