About Me

I am born to a family of 5 children. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I come second in my family. I started schooling when I was 4 years of age. I did my primary school and secondary certificates. I went to college and I did diploma certificate in tourism and hospitality.

Two years ago my family was in a financial crisis and they were not able to pay me school fees. I toiled a lot to find my way out and eventually I succeeded. At that time I was almost being asked to leave the college hostels due to lack of funds. I thought of a brilliant idea and successfully I managed to sell bread, oranges and snacks to my college mates. They bought it to an extend I was able to pay my hostel fee and partially afford to pay school fees. I got interested int his business and from there I started selling food in retail price, and this is what I love doing.

In my culture, men are circumcised in November and December holidays. This happens in a unique manner because no woman is allowed to come around, no child is supposed to attend and if it happens they attend they are ex-communicated from the community. The moral lesson is to induce respect to everyone.

My Business

In my business I do sell cakes, biscuits, and snacks of every kind. Majority of students buy these foods because they do not have time to cook or they study so much to an extend they do not have time to go and buy heavy food. Moreover, people buy these foods because they are cost effective. In this case, fast foods are considered very cheap comparing to buying meat and this makes it to be on high demand.

I chose this business because it generates income because in the business I do sell fast foods that generally goes on high demand. Buying fast foods is cost effective and they are not time consuming while eating it.This makes my consumers prefer buying food from me than going to big restaurants. And majority of my consumers are students who statistically love taking cakes, biscuits and juices. This makes things easier for me.

In a month I get an approximate revenue of $45. My total sales is around $95, after which I deduct the expenditures of $50 in purchasing foods. This brings me a revenue and profit of $45. I will use this money to re-invest in the business and use the remaining money to cater for my rent, transport and food.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money that you will give me to buy cakes in a wholesale price that will cost $25, juices that cost $10, biscuits that cost $15. When I sell these food, I will make a total of $95. This brings me a profit of $45, which is really good.

The profit of $45 that will accrue from from the business, I will use it to reinvest in the business. I will also use this income to cater for needs such as rent, food, and transport. For my consumers, they will have an easy access to food because I will deliver to them to where they are without them really coming to the shop to purchase. They will also have less time to spend on going to big restaurants to purchasing expensive food. Also, they will spend less money, thus making their daily expenditures on check and maintain their finances because my foods are affordable to them.
