About Me

I come from a small town in the Southern part of Nyanza Kenya. Since finishing high school a few years ago, life has not been easy because i never proceeded to university. Instead of just idling at home, i decided to make myself useful at home so i decided to start farming in our small home farm. I later realized i could actually make money by farming for business. I therefore started planting vegetables for sale and it did so well, though my far was very small. I've never looked back ever since. I now want to expand my farming business by getting a little bigger farm just next to my home. Sky is the limit for me now.

My Business

My business involves farming of local vegetables and and selling to the locals in my home area. The vegetables includes sukuma-wiki, spring onions and other local vegetables loved by the locals. These once planted takes about two months to be ready for harvest, then i harvest them and supply to the local people. The produce are always on demand since few people do this kind of farming in my home area. I chose this kind of business because of the demand, my love for farming and also the availability of ready water source in my home. I use the profits to help my mum with home expenses and save the rest for use to pay my university fees in future.

Loan Proposal

If i get this loan, i will rent a bigger land that i ill use to expand my farming business as my home garden is very small. People like my vegetables, therefore the demand is higher than supply, that's why its needful for me to expand my farming activities. I will rent the land at 5000 KES, buy two jembes at 500 KES, buy two hoes at 400 KES, buy seeds at 1000 KES, buy fertilizers at 3000 KES, rent a ploughing wheel and bull at 2000 KES, buy a water pipe at 3000 KES and use the rest to rent a store for storing and selling the vegetables. This will boost the sales since i will be able to meet the market demand and increase my profits by about 60%.
