Am the first born to my seven other siblings, born in a humble village in Nakuru county of rift valley province of Kenya. I started my early childhood and primary education in a local primary school, and learnt with a couple of difficulties since my parents were not well up. I worked hard enough and secured myself a slot in a provincial high school. Although i was in and out of school in high school i managed a pass in my final examinations after the four years. Since i could not raise enough money to join university, i joined a local college where i acquired a tailoring fashion and design course.
I have since been working as a tailor for sometime, sharing what we make with my employer. I plan to put up my own tailoring shop once i buy my own sewing machine.
I live in the outskirts of Nairobi where we have people from all walks of life, ethnicities, races and nationality. It is wonderful to live and interact with these diverse community, because they have diffrent cultures and traditions.
My best hobby is composing myown songs an sing with my friends in church, or sometimes record them and sell the music cds.
Since am well trained and experienced now, plan to put up my own tailoring shop where i will be earning more than what i currently get, since we share what i make with my employer. I shall be sewing tailor made clothes to my customers according to their taste and preferences. Fashion is the order of the urban life and people want to look different, unlike the new ready made clothes which often look alike.I believe i will be in business since the community around my place have different ways of dressing and they cant easily find what they want in ready made clothes. Also these ready made clothes are sometimes expensive and so the people opt for tailor made ones.
After buying the sewing machine, i will be ready to start because i will purchase the other things like materials and threads with what i will save. Once i have successfully put up the shop i will be able to take care of my wife and child, pay school fees to my two siblings who are still in school and the remaining, i invest wisely.
I plan to buy a sewing machine the only thing i need to start my own tailor shop. I have been struggling to save some money to buy one since the one i had was looted during the post election violence. The machine will be of great help to me since i will now employ myself and make more money than where i am employed now because ww share what i make. Since am a good tailor i know i will make to pay the loan and expand my business too.
