About Me

I am Albin Mutai from konoin constituency in Bomet county in kenya.I am male and was born on 14th April 1992. I am a graduate of moi university in electrical engineering.Besides my career, am a farmer. I am a motivated and disciplined man interested to grow myself financially.

My Business

I did electrical engineering NITA(National Industrial Training Authority) exam grade III on solar technology last year December 2017 and passed. I would like to proceed to grade II this year. These exams are very important because after that I will be given a license for installation and maintenance of solar systems. This certification will help me in securing solar installation jobs as people are going green here in Kenya.Am kindly requesting for a loan from Zidisha to help me book the July 2018 exams. The examination fee is 95 dollars.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to expand my business: Buying trees for building new structures 70 dollars, tea seedlings fertilisers 12 dollars, nails 6 dollars,a jembe 12 dollars, insecticides 8 dollars, materials( small polythenes and the cover polythene) 42 dollars and a water tank 100 dollars(water is very scarce during hot seasons. We are heading to a hot season right now). This business will be of benefit to me because it will create a self employment for me which can add me an additional income besides my career. I am planning to build a nursery bed with a capacity of 15,000 seedlings. Each tea seedling goes for 0.1 dollar. Therefore it will earn me up to a tune of 1500 dollars. This business will be of great help because it will give me a financial muscle and hopefully with time it will help me attain my financial freedom. It will be of great help to the society in that they will be able to easily access quality tea seedlings and also through the financial muscle from zidisha, when need arises I will also have something small to also contribute to my society.

Good luck with your exam Albin! I am happy to lend to solar projects, as I think solar is the way of the future. I use a solar lamp every day.

I used my first loan to buy the following input materials: Cover polythene, small propagating polythenes, insecticides, nails and trees for extending the structure. I completed my new tea nursery bed on December 9th 2017.Am expecting a profit ranging from 200-300 dollars from it latter in the year.Thanks.
