About Me

Hello, wonder family of Zidisha community, i am Emmanuel Bonsu and a young hardworking Ghanaian. I love to design just right from childhood and as a results i went straight to fashion designing school after my junior high school completion.
Then right after the fashion school, i went into apprenticeship for one more year to better myself in my trade.
life was difficult during the learning process but i endured all pain, i did lost both parents in the process but i have an uncle who supported me through the process.
After my apprenticeship, my uncle supported me, and straight away, i opened my shop and start little buy little. As i write now, i have five apprenticeship who are learning under me.
i will want to educate my children, and give them a better life than i had and have now. i buy the fabrics, cloth and materials, i design them and then i sell them to the youth in my community.

My Business

As i write, i am a fashion designer, with apprentice under me. we design and sow African wear clothes and all kind of global designs. These products that i deal in are very much in demand since the young and youth demands it so much so as to look good.
since i do the design, sowing, i put into it my workmanship and every cost. for now, if i buy a cloth or material and after sowing, i make a profit of more than 60% and this include my workmanship.
I take care of myself, i maintain my shop, repair my sowing machines, and go for more materials and cloth for sale, this is how i use the profit and i save a small portion with a local bank.
When my project is fully funded, i will invest all into my business, i think that zidisha platform will give hope to most of my apprentice who might not have the capital to start their own shops. so i will teach them and when it is time for them to graduate, i will edge them to apply to join zidisha so they can access some help.

for me, it will help keep my business running but the most important one to me is the availability of textiles for work so that my apprentice can learn very quickly the practical aspect of the sowing and designing.
then i expect to make more than a 50% profit on the invested money which i will receive from zidisha.
