My full name is Mercy Muthoni. I live Nairobi, a place called Embakasi which is approximately 30 km fro the CBD of the capital city, Nairobi. I am a mother of 2 , one of whom is schooling. My education level is ‘O’. I operate a retail shop at Embakasi. A shop will always get customers with or without competitors provided the management and customer care are of high caliber. Also, I think the profit made in a shop is little compared to many other businesses but the good advantage is that it can stand for urgent consumption like usage in the household in times of dire need. The initial motive is changing as the clientele has spread wider and hence demand hiked.
Shop keeping is fun to me due to the almost invisible development that is rapid in an amazing way. My shop comprises of household goods like kitchenware, flour, sugar, salt, sweets , umbrellas, shoes, socks just to mention but a few. However, weather changes, increase in population, change of life pattern and such factors have emerged to be among my major blocks along the path of successful business of shop keeping. This can only be curbed by additional of immense stock. This definitely needs money and that is where Zidisha comes in. A loan from lenders via Zidisha Organization will boost my business and see me through this big need
Thank you for granting me this opportunity to get a loan from the organization. I wish to use this loan to do the following. I would like to buy new and more stock for my retail shop. I would also like to make and expand the shelves so as to accommodate more foodstuffs in my shop. This will enable me attract more customers.
