About Me

My name is Silas Kalama Ngua, a resident of mtwapa and a businessman in mtwapa as well. Am a family man with three children, i live with both my children here in mtwapa. My first child is a girl and is six years and the second is three years and the last one year. My education background is class eight, i did not have the opportunity to join to secondary school because my parents did not have enough funds to pay the school fees for me. So with my low education background i could not get a reasonal job that would help me meet my family. I was then employed as a helper at a workshop where i worked for four years. At this workshop, it was like a training for me. With this training i qualified as o carpenter. This was a low paying job but as needed the exprience i had to do it any way. After this i went and started my own capentry job as i had all te skills. I started a workshop jus infront of my house. This small workshop expanded and becoming a big workshop where i now have two helpers who help me with my job as orders are coming every day. This is a good business as i make an income of ksh 30,000 per month. With this income i buy food for my family pay school fees and also invest back to the business so as to expand the business.

My Business

My business is capentry, this business is dealing with designing of all woodwork items like, beds, tables, wordrobes, doors, wondows, any type of wood work.We also repair old items. This business is situated in mtwapa. This is a very good business and very profitable depending on the demand of the customers. I get my raw materials from the timber dealers and sometime i follow the timber from the processors who do the timber splitters. The risks i face in this business are like late payment of some of our clients, this normally occurs when you deliver some items to a customer and does the payment late. With thisibusiness i make an income of ksh 30,000 per month after the expenses. With this income i use ksh 5,000 on family food and ksh 5,000 on school fees. i also set apart ksh 10,000 for the business. so i save ksh 10,000 per month which i can effectively repay my loan.

Loan Proposal

thank you so much for having approved my loan application for sure i had been waiting for this oppotunity to take place. with this loan am going to use it on the buying of more timbers that i will put them in my workshop ready waiting for my clients to come. this will raise my business and my daily income to me.
