About Me

Mejumaa Hassan is my name. I was born in 1970 in the outskirts of Mombasa at Kwale County in Kenya. I am a single mother of a son by names Rama Hassan. My son is still in Primary School. I own a food café in Shanzu Keroport – Mombasa County. I schooled up to the fourth stage of the Secondary education that is form four. I chose to start my business after the breakup with my husband that led to a divorce because I took my son by me and I have to fend for him as I am the bread winner. Most of the earnings I get from my business are ploughed back to my business in the acquisition of stock and food for my family. Yours assistance will be highly appreciated.

My Business

I own a food café in Shanzu area in Mombasa. The services offered are ready made food like:-
Beans, rice, peas, ugali, kales, fries, pan cakes, Biryani
There is high demand of these services in my area because I sell the human being’s most special need (food) so day ends with a good thing in my pocket.
Clients prefer my business because that’s like a saviour to their tummies nobody wishes to go hungry and I also prepare foods at a professional angle and sanitation is up to the expectation of everybody.
The business is profitable because people must come for food so no day ends emptily.
The business has minimal challenges. As long as you are operating along the framework of the authorities then you will run your business smoothly without any problem.

I produce 1500/= per day
That is 4500/= per month.
Expenses – FOOD+TRANSPORT+RENT+SCHOOL FEE+ELECTRICITY+STOCK+SALARY = 37,000/=
I get a profit of 7,000 to 8,000 per month.

As a business lady I will be focusing on adding equipments in my food café. That is chairs, cooking Jikos, and other tools. I will purchase 5 plastic chairs and a round table because sometimes I normally get many clients at once and they are forced to wait for the others to finish so that they may get a chance to sit and get my services.
Once I repay my first loan I will be working on repaying it very fast so that I reapply for a send one and with time I will be working on opening a sub branch of my food café and even growing up to opening a restaurant.
