About Me

My names are John Ngugi Ngigi from Ngecha village in Kiptangwanyi shopping center. Ngecha village is in the northern part of kiptangwanyi shopping center. I was born in Nakuru district at Kiptangwanyi. I attended Muriricua primary school and later joined Muriricua secondary school. After I completed my Kenya Certificate of Secondary School, I attended an agricultural course at Baraka Agricultural center in Molo. This was a two year course and I gained a lot of experience in livestock farming and management. This enabled me to realize the potential that was there in businesses that deal with livestock keeping. I therefore decided to start an agrovet shop at the center and this has been operating well since then. I live in plot number 1320.

My Business

I am renowned businessman at Kiptangwanyi shopping center where I operate an agrovet shop. I usually sell livestock feeds and livestock medicine.I started this business in the year 2006 and I have been operating it since then. The business is profitable and it is a good source of livelihood for my family. The main challenges that this business encounter are drought which reduces pastures land and thus affecting livestock production. This reduces the consumers purchasing power. This is not very usually good for the business.

Loan Proposal

Thank you to you all lenders and the whole of Zidisha team.
Once I am granted the loan, I would like to add more stock of the livestock feed as well as increasing the variety of the feeds that I sell in my shop. This will make me to expand the scope of my customers by increasing the variety from which they can choose from. I would also like to start selling feeds for others such as rabbits and fish as we have few farmers who keep rabbits as well as fish.

Can you please give us an update on your situation and make small payments every month.

It will show us you are comitted to repay your loan and will encourage others to loan money to you in the future.
You have not made a single repayment since you took out the loan.

    Thanks

    Hi John,

It has been a while since you last update and your loan payments are 3 months overdue since original funds were given.

It is almost end of July and we have not heard anything why there is no payment or your plan how you will be repaying the loan.
Even smaller monthly payments will be better than repaying nothing.

I am looking forward to your response.

    Thanks

dear lenders,i am sorry for the inconvenience but this is due to some circumstances which have force me to reschedule. My will was to pay the amount in short period but as soon as things go well i will make my fulfillment. The problem to the business was that there was decrease in feeds demand. The business in our area is seasonal because most of the farmers don't relay to the feeds instead.Starting from July the demand increase because the season is dry.Farmer in our area have invented the practice of zero grazing which was not commonly practice before and the type of practice mostly it relays to our products and thus it will be easier for my to make my quick repayment as soon as possible without any delay.please bare with me i will make it quick than given time.

I John Ngugi is very grateful as I received my loan on 25th February 2013. I have already planned for the loan as I had indicated and all the processes are ready. I will now be able to improve my business with this loan. I will keep updating you on the progress of my business. It is dry here and a lot of dust everywhere. On Monday we have general elections and we hope that peace will prevail through the whole process. May God bless you all lenders and Zidisha team in all your endeavors.
