About Me

.serah wanjiru gachukia is a mother of 5 children who are schooling. i live in kiptagwanyi center plot no 861 where i have a butchery.kiptagwanyi is about 43 kilometer from nakuru.i was born in nyeri in 1972 by my two parent.i join primary education in 1981 in the area school. i completed my primary education in 1989 after completing my primary education. i stay home because my parent could not afford my secondary education.after two year in 1991 i was married by my husband and bless with 5 children, he was employed as a driver in the area, but because of being drunkard he was fired by her boss. when he return home he propose that we migrate to nakuru kiptagwanyi because he have made a research and discover that in that area business was good.we migrate in 1995 and started a butchery. after a short time my husband was employed again to drive a matatu from nakuru to nairobi, in 1998 he died in a road accident in nairobi nakuru highway in a place called baruk.because of that my live and my children turn worse,having 5 children and the small one was only 4 year.so i decide i must work hard to be able to feed my family as i don't have anybody to look after as but because when my husband return to his driving job ,we didn't close our butchery and i was used in selling,i go on with this business till today. the earning from this business support my family education and their needs

My Business

my business entail in meat selling and other product that came from animal like cow and goat,but i am used in selling goat meat because many people prefer to eat goat and sheep meat,in my butchery i sell [mutura] which is made of goat intestine and fresh meat, it is the favorable food that people like to eat as it is cheaper.and also it is called African sausage because it is made like sausage, also i sell soup as many old people love to drink because it give them strength in their borne ,so thy love to drink two or three time a week.to me the business profitable because i am able to buy a plot with this business and build a residesial house where my family are staying and made my live easy or the burden of renting a house stop.my customer prefer my business because thy say that in this business i am only the woman doing this business and also i take advantage of many customer who came to me to believe that what a man can do, even a woman can do it perfect,also because i have employed a man to help me with the hard work because sometime my business is very busy with many customer like in Saturday and Wednesday the market days.the main challenge is poor road, high price of livestock where sometime you must travel to a longer distance to buy.high cost of commodity

thank you zidisha and lenders for this golden opportunity to get loan from this organization.in this my first loan i want to buy a refrigerator machine to cool soda for my customers because i have been having problem without this machine as now it very hot in this area and many people prefer cold soda after eating meat in my butchery.so this fund will help me a lot in making my customers satisfy in my service.thanks
