About Me

I COME FROM A HUMBLE AND POOR BACKGROUND CONSISTING OF 7 SIBLINGS;4 BROTHERS AND 3 SISTERS.MY PARENTS ARE PEASANT FARMERS WITH LITTLE INCOME TO COMFORTABLY EDUCATE AND SUSTAIN ALL OF US AND THUS WE HAVE BEEN HAVING FINANCIAL CONSTRAINTS.AM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT AT MOI UNIVERSITY MAIN CAMPUS CURRENTLY PURSUING AN ECONOMIC DEGREE PROGRAMME..DUE TO THIS FINANCIAL PROBLEM,I DECIDED TO START A SMALL POULTRY FARM FROM LOAN GIVEN TO ME BY MY ONLY WORKING ELDER BROTHER OF KSH.30000 AND BOUGHT 100 CHICKS AND 2 BAGS OF CHICKEN MASH.I ULTIMATELY CONSTRUCTED A POULTRY HOUSE AND STARTED THE WORK WHILE ON LONG HOLIDAY VACATION.I HAVE BEEN SELLING THE EGGS TO HOTELS AND HOMESTEADS AROUND MY AREA.THE CHICKENS I HAVE BEEN SUPPLYING TO A MAIN POULTRY-BUYING HOTEL KNOWN AS KEN-CHICK PRIME.FROM THE PROFITS,I PARTLY PAY MY UNIVERSITY SCHOOL FEES, COMMUTATION FEE AND BUYING CHICKEN MASH AND MEDICATIONS.

My Business

THE POULTRY FARM AS AT NOW HAS 92 BROILERS, 265 CHICKS, 15 COCKERELS AND 120 LAYERS THAT ARE IN GOOD HEALTH.I HAVE AN ESTABLISHED AND RELIABLE MARKET FOR THE PRODUCTS AROUND BETA FARM ESTATE,HOTELS,HOMESTEADS AND IN ELDORET TOWN(KEN-CHICK PRIME).I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING A WIDE DEMAND MARKET SINCE AM THE ONLY ONE HAVING A POULTRY MARKET AROUND MY NEIGHBORHOOD, BESIDES,I GIVE BONUSES TO MY CUSTOMERS.A BROILER GOES AT KSH.500 WHEREAS AN EGG IS SOLD AT KSH. 13.THE TOTAL ESTIMATE PROFITS IN A POULTRY-CYCLE IS KSH. 60000 OF WHICH IS NEARLY A 2-MONTH PERIOD.THE ONLY CHALLENGE THAT I FACE IS OF MEDICATION, MOST TIMES MY CHICKEN SUFFER FROM COCCIDIOSIS, GIZZARD WORMS AND DACTLYOSIS DISEASES.I USE AN ESTIMATE OF KSH. 10000 TO PURCHASE ANTIBIOTICS, VACCINES AND DEWORMERS. WHEN ZIDISHA FINANCES MY BUSINESS, ILL USE IT TO EXPAND MY BUSINESS AND FROM THE PROFITS ILL BE ABLE TO REPAY THE LOAN AND ALSO HELP MY SIBLINGS AND FAMILY.

Loan Proposal

I WILL USE THE LOAN TO PURCHASE 50 CHICKS FROM MY SUPPLIER KENCHICK INN WHICH WILL COST ME ALMOST ESTIMATE OF KSH.7000 AND THE REST OF KSH.5000 I WILL BUY 5 BAGS OF CHICKEN MASH.WITH THIS PURCHASES,AM CERTAIN MY BUSINESS WILL EXPAND AND ILL BE ABLE TO REPAY MY LOAN IN DUE COURSE.OUT OF THE KSH 5000 ILL REPAIR THE FENCE WITH KSH 1000,EXPAND THE POULTRY STRUCTURE WITH THE REMAINING 4000 SHILLINGS.LENDERS SHOULD SUPPORT ME IN MAKING THIS PURCHASES SINCE I STRONGLY BELIEVE ILL USE IT WISELY AND ALSO TO PAY FEES FOR MY YOUNGER SIBLINGS.
