About Me

I'm Carrolyne Odhiambo. I was born in nineteen seventy nine. I'm fifth in a family of eleven. I did my Kenya Certificate for Primary Education at Anyiko Primary school in Siaya county. I proceeded to do my o level at Jubilee High School in Siaya county. I'm married with four children. my first born daughter is sitting for her Kenya Certificate for Primary Education this year. My twins, a boy and girl are both in standard four. My last born son has joined baby class this year. I didn't proceed for further education because my siblings were many and my parents couldn't afford for all of them to higher learning. I married to make my dreams with my husband. With my husband's help, I trained to be dress maker.

My Business

I trained as dress maker for two years from two thousand and ten. In two thousand and twelve through the assistance of a women group, I managed to buy a sewing machine which I started with as self employed. I started by doing repairs and later gathered courage to start making new dresses. The challenge is to have enough money to put stock to sustain my bigger growing customers. I'm forced to wait till my supplied dresses are paid in full to let me serve other new customers. I have tried to apply for loans in banks and other places in vain until my friend Solomon introduced me to Zidisha family to try my luck. I'm having future plans to expand my business, open a boutique and employing more people to sustain my increasing customer's demand. Through the information I got From Solomon, I belief my dreams can be achieved.

Loan Proposal

I'm a tailor and I will use the loan to buy a new tailoring machine and add material stock to help me serve my increasing costumes. I hav been having problems with my growing customers because I couldn't serve them well with the one machine I have but now with two machines, I can add another one dressmaker to assist me. I will also add some stocks. to use even without waiting for some of my customers to pay in full as before.
