About Me

my name is Mary wangui i was born on 21st November 1981at gilgil nakuru county being the second born of a family of two. i attended my primary education at gilgil DEB primary school i later joined Mary culsons secondary school for my o levels after that i joined national youth service where i took a course in business management and administration completing in 2004 i was employed by gilios bakery for 3 years until when i thought of starting my own business in the year 2008 this was to try and make end meets in the typical hard life. i started a salon business of hairdressing and beauty therapy after i realized there was need and demand for the same. my business is located in dakar house in gilgil town. it is doing well and it is from its proceeds that i ws able to purchase a plot and built my own house where i live with my daughter. this after i lost my husband in tragic road accident in 2010.by the grace of God i was able to heal and soldier on. i am looking forward to do even better with zidisha platform

My Business

my business is located in dakar house which is located in heart of gilgil town. it is basically specialized in hairdressing and beauty therapy. i open this business after i realized there was great demand for these services. this due to the great number of civil servants in this town and the number is still swelling with the introduction of county governments. my customers prefer my business because i am cheaper than others i usually travel to the city of Nairobi to collect my stock of hair chemicals which i even sell to the lest of the saloons located around this makes me to have better profit margins which is able to sustain me and my daughter who is currently in top class. of late i have also introduced M-pesa outlet within the premises which is also doing well.my dream is to do even better with zidisha platform

Loan Proposal

Thanks to the zidisha team for approving my loan applications and according me this chance to benefit from this platform the money will help me to improve my business by stocking more hair treatment chemical which i normally use to attend to my customers i will also buy a new hair dryer and a facial steamer for maximum satisfaction to my esteemed clients.
