My name is Purity Muthoni Karori. I was born in 1973 at Subukia at Nakuru County. I joined Meongoini Primary School and later joined Meningai High School for my O levels completing in 1990. I later joined Patmat College for a course in dressmaking and design. I worked with Bedi fabrics for 8 years until I decided to start self employment. I started a dressmaking shop in Nakuru where I make all sort of apparels, including school uniforms.
I am married and blessed with 3 children. My business does very well and it is from its proceeds that I was able to purchase a piece of land and put up a house where I live with my immediate family.
My business is located in Nakuru town in the Rift Valley of Kenya. This is a very busy town with so many inhabitants; this gives a good market for my products. I supply school uniforms to most of the schools and institutions around. Many people prefer my products because they are cheap and of good quality. I usually travel to the city of Nairobi to purchase my raw materials from the manufacturers and direct importers. This makes my products to be cheap while maintaining a high standard. The only challenge my business faces is lack of an electric sewing machine to simplify my production. With the Zidisha platform, I would be able to fulfill my dream of expanding my business.
Thanks to you all my lenders for your continued support. for this second loan, i am planing to expand my business by buying more clothing materials to make school uniforms in my tailoring shop. many people at this time are making uniforms for their young one in readiness to start baby class next year. by so doing i will capitalize on this demand which is currently paying well. this will help me to make enough capital to sustain my business. Thanks to you all.
