About Me

I am Naomi Amase Muruga a resident of Kakoli sub location Okuleu Location, Teso North District, Busia County. I attended Moding primary School and did My O level in St Marys Amukura High School in Western Kenya. Am Married and blessed with five Children of which all of them at the moment have completed their o level Education. I have been practicing poultry farming for the past three years and it has really helped me meets my daily needs. I am someone who is persistent and will always do anything to meet my objective, I am planning to expand my business by adding another house to add more birds so as to meet the rising demand of my products. My products are of high quality and very much affordable and probably that what makes me different from my competitors.

My Business

Before I even start writing anything about my business, I would really like to thank the entire Zidisha community for helping a thousand of small scale entrepreneurs across the globe to meets their needs through small scale business and may the almighty God bless you abundantly. I started this poultry business three years ago when my husband retired from the Civil Service. Having a smaller piece of land, my good friend advised me to start poultry business from that available space, after a serious thought I decided to venture into that business (poultry Business). I started with only five hens and 2 cocks. With time, patience and Persistence I managed to break even in few weeks and currently am reaping the fruits of my labor. I have one closet/poultry house where I keep my birds and I would like to buy another chain wire to expand my business to meet the rising demand of my products. My business is strategically located and is adjacent to various government offices and two private schools, and its next to the local market that is managed by the local authority, with these I have an advantage against my competitors and I really pray that our economy improves so that I realize my dreams. I normally get an average gross profit of Ksh 40,000 and my total cost per month on average is Ksh 15,000 and my average is Ksh 25,000. Apart from that I have a stable source of income of Ksh 5,000 from other businesses.

Loan Proposal

Thanks you Zidisha community for this noble idea and we are grateful as entrepreneurs from developing countries for such a wonderful initiative. I need this loan to add on what I have to buy another chain link wire for construction of another house for my birds/poultry for expansion. I really need this chain wire to meet the escalating demand of my products and I hope that you guys will support me to achieve my objective. May the almighty God Bless you all.

    Dear Lenders,
Am very much sorry for the delay I have caused you and I promise next time I'll try my level best not to repeat the same, I would like to reschedule my loan that I anticipated to pay this month because of the upsurge of the demand of my products which forced me to plough back the entire profits to increase profitability. I promise to pay as soon as possible and I hope you will bear with the situation. I would like again to thank you the Zidisha family, may the almighty God always be with you.

I do hope you people are doing well too. A client of mine today morning came to my business place as always to take his order. Today he surprised me by giving me a tender of supplying more milk to his school because of upsurge of pupils’ number for three months; I was delighted because this means an increase in profitability and generally expansion of my business. I was grateful for this offer and I thank the almighty God for this.

Thanks again, as we are currently living in global world as zidisha community and I thought it wise sometimes to share what I have or rather what I have in my mind, by doing so it gives us more time to learn one another and appreciate how sometimes different we are as business people across the globe. When I was struggling to look for someone or organization to fund my business expansion I didn’t ever imagine such kind of noble idea ever existed in this world, so one day a friend of mine came to my business place and we shared many experiences but later I told him am looking for a loan to expand my business. “Only that” he said, thereafter he told me about Zidisha and generally, how it works, I was skeptical at first but thereafter I picked the idea, filled those forms and submitted and after the entire process I was awarded the much needed loan. I was very much happy for lenders and the entire Zidisha family. Thank you very much in Swahili we say Asante sana.
