About Me

I am a single by the name Ruth Wanjiku, I was born on year 1990 at Uashungishu in Kenya.I join my primary education until class eight were I got my primary education certificate in the year 2006,after completing my primary education I joined a course in hair dressing in our nearby center (Munanda trading center) for a period of fourteen months, I manage to buy a piece of plot (plot number 1060) at a price of 30000, where i live in Tangi Tano shopping center which is approximately 50km from Nakuru town which is our nearest town. Nakuru town is our nearest major town within this area. The shopping center is also 5km from Kiptangwanyi shopping Center, where we pass as we move to and fro Nakuru.I am
single and born again Christian and a follower of Full Gospel Church of Kenya which is within our locality, After been exposed to the area I decided to start my own business I rented a piece of land (half an acre) of which I will be producing my own farm product and sell to within our area and its environs, but I lack money to rent a bigger piece of land thus I decided to join a welfare were I can get some money. I joined Elementaita Interdenomination Pastors fellowship Self Help Group (UREP) I the year 2010 where I start my saving until 14 JUNE 2010 where I applied my first loan which I have fully repaid. I live in plot number 1060 at the shopping center where I carry out my business of selling the product I get from my piece of land I rent. My business entails cattle farming, chicken rearing and vegetable in small scale within Tangi Tano and its environs.

My business is farming
By conducting a market survey I decided to start the business of mixed farming after realize there is a ready market for this product, my business includes cattle farming, chicken rearing and vegetable, beans and maize. The businesses capture 70 percent of the market share, also the business is expected to continuous to grow due to the ready market of the product. The business is located in a strategic position because the mean of transport is available and the climate is favorable They is a lot of demand of the product such as milk, because the milk is taken by the Brookside company dairy, and also so many people here rely on this variety.
Most of the farmer in Tangi Tano have remain with indigenous cattle thus making me being the most of the few one who will produce much milk. The business will be profitable because most of the feed a get from my farm. The risk facing the business is poor road during the rainy season which hinders the transportation of the milk and farm products. The goal of the business will be get profit, create employment and to satisfy the customer needs, the business fall under agriculture industry which has been growing very fast for past few years and it is expecting to have a bright future in term of modern farming. My vision about my business is expand from small farming to large scale farming whereby most of the farmers have been in large scale farming i.e wheat, thus giving motivation to practice the type of farming. My typical monthly cost is khs 40000, sale revenue is around ksh 20000 and profit is above 15000 but I am planning to earning more from the business.

Thankyou zidisha for accepting my loan application,with this second loan i will invest more on my mixed farming more especially on chicken rearing,with this money i will use it to buy more boilers and built houses for small chick which after some few months i will cell them, i will also buy food for those chickens
