Am mary nyawira, female, I live in shabab, Nakuru county, Kenya. After I finished form four as my highest level of education I was employed as a cor worker in a certain farm, where I saved some money and opened my own grocery store. The salary that I was being paid was very low and could not cater for my basic needs. Although I was still single I wanted to help my parents and be able to stand alone financial. I purchase trays for keeping eggs in good conditions, milk bottles and others I spend in basic needs.
My business primarily sells groceries like fruits, vegetables, milk among others. It is located by the road side where my main target are the surrounding community and the passengers who stop to buy staff while moving up country.Their is demand for this staffs because the customers always congratulates me for providing them with the best variety of fruits. The competition for his business if very stiff since their are other groceries around but I always try my best by providing my customers with the best and quality staff.Risks that I encounter are lack of enough space for storing those fruits, lack of refrigerator for storing milk and fruits which are perishable and require to be stored in a well condition. This business is profitable because I have been doing it for the last four years.
The business am doing currently deals with fruits and vegetables hence this money will help me in increase the stock i have like water melon, oranges, pumpkin and other varieties of vegetables. This will give me profit that will enable my business to be sustained and also repay my loan in time so that I can also get another that will be of great help in my business.
