About Me

I am John Kamau I live in Wanyororo “B”, Kirima Ndungiri Location, Bahati Division, Nakuru North District. I have a hardware store at Wanyororo “B” centre off Nakuru – Solai road

My Business

As earlier mentioned, I have a hardware store (Pema hardware) at Wanyororo “B” centre off Nakuru – Solai road. My hardware store deals in the following goods and services: sale of cement both in wholesale and retail, white wash, paints, metal bars, iron sheets, electrical accessories and fittings, plumbing accessories i.e pipes, toilet and bathroom fittings, sinks, hand wash basins etc. Apart from selling goods I contract plumbers, electricians and masons to my customers at a fee. On an average day I can make a profit of say KShs. 700 to KShs. 1000 from all the sale of the day, truth be told at times I find myself in a cut twenty two situation not all payments are cash on delivery. Some customers pay later and at times this may affect my business negatively as I wait for the money. Increasing the stock would shield me from this effect because I would always have the necessary things to sell and be able to wait for my customers as they always pay at the end of it all. I also would not want to lose these customers since they are faithful and keep to their promised date of payment.
In the recent past there has been a construction boom in our country. Fortunately we have not been left aside from the small scale construction of residential homes and commercial houses. The neighbouring multi billion shilling geothermal project at Menengai crater has really helped our business grow as many people want to construct both the residential and commercial houses around this place. More capital injection is now inevitable to boost my stock to satisfy the demand from the market. The future is bright considering the G.D.C project which raises the level of living among the surrounding community at large

Loan Proposal

The loan amount will be used to increase the stock of my hardware so that i can be able to meet the demand of my increasing customers who want to build near the multimillion geothermal plant. increased stock will caution me from being unable to supply as i wait for the customers to honour their promises to pay later especially at the end of the week.

    Dear lenders,

Mr. Kamau missed his July and August repayment installments, and we have been working to contact him for some time without success. His family tells us that Mr. Kamau has taken an extended trip to a remote area of northeastern Kenya for business purposes, and that he will get in touch with Zidisha when he returns.

Should you have any comments or questions regarding this loan, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

    Regards,

    Julia Kurnia
    Director, Zidisha Inc.

i happened to give one of my customers goods on credit and he would settee his debt on Saturday every week. on one of the occasions he defaulted and when i contacted him he promised to pay which went on for some time. i got him and confiscated some of his equipments hence compelling him to pay his debt. this is the reason that has caused me not to honor my loan obligation on time culminating to my loan reschedule
