About Me

APPRECIATION
My sincere thanks to zidisha I have been able to meet demands for awhile.
My second(2nd) gratitude goes to All who lend money on zidisha platform
Mr Godwin Dufe is my name I live in Dansoman a suburb of Accra my
business is located at Ada by the Volta River. I live with my spouse and
two daughters.
My business is TILAPIA fish farming.
Last season I applied for a loan through zidisha which went along way to suport my farm business which i also paid on time. Due to the support i had i was able to be consistent and i won an award in my district as the best tilapia farmer. the image is in the picture above.
This time demand has increased and I also need to make expansion as the current site is too small for my operation.
fish farming is a very
lucrative business in Ghana. i started fish farming as hobby but it has
now turn to be my serious business as it has grown from prospects to
prospect. and now needs more expansion. besides farming fish (Tilapia). I
also trade in it as I have more customers who demand my product on
weekly basics due to this I buy from other farms with the little amount I
have to make sure i keep my customers and keep self in business.

My Business

Demand for fish especially Tilapia is high because most people are shifting
from the consumption of a lot of meat to fish in Ghana for health reasons.
Every month I need to buy about Ghc400.00 worth of fish to support my
farm produce. I have also used the proceeds to buy more feed to
support the farm which has been a support for a number of people. the
loan will go a long way to enhance my business as i will use it to buy
more feed and fingerlings also for expansion purpouses to enable me produce more fish for the
customers and stop depending on other farms for fish which is usually
not available because of the high demand. it is some times difficult to
get the fish from other farms and i have to travel long distance only to
get there and be disappointed.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to purchase more feed to feed the already in stock fish. Feeding the feed is quite involving and it will also relief me of the stress of funding. especially it will also benefit the people of the Angonya community as the women depend on fish from my farm to be able to get to the market.
getting the loan means getting support not only for my farm but also for the community.
