About Me

I'm a Kenyan citizen by birth and i'am single parent with three daughters. The first born is in standard seven , standard one and the young one has not started schooling.I live within race course in the outskirts of the town.Iam a business woman dealing with second hand wears focusing on women as my clients.I'm a college graduate in counselling psychology and sometimes i double it up with business.I purchase materials, shoes and children's wears for sale.I have been doing this business for the last five years and it has given me the reason to continue running the same.It has helped me realize my dreams of raising my children, as they go to private schools.Am also able to provide shelter over our heads and upkeep for the children.

My Business

My source of income is from the current business I'm running. Second hand clothe business. The goods and services offered include whole sale business, retail as well as promotion and marketing of my goods and services. There is demand in this business because at all times women and children will have to be smart and put on something that goes with fashion. I have made sure that my wears that i purchase are in line with the current trends, fashion and times. That is why my customers are always inquiring the next fashion and whether it is available. My customers prefer my business because my stall does not luck anything. Customers needs are always met as and when appropriate. The prices and pocket friendly and this gives my business a cutting edge over others. The business is very profitable because i have trained myself to purchase on cash basis than on credit. I do realize that when you purchase items on credit, you become a slave for somebody and what you get is very minimal to sustain that kind of business. I also supply whole sale and retail giving me an upper hand over those doing it one way. I combine other wears like shoes for women and children. The risks include, taxation and licenses. For example if you have no license , then it becomes difficult to operate within the municipality and goods may be confiscated at times. This sometimes turns out to be a very big loss.I have countered this by making sure that i have a valid business license to operate.Others are: competition, pricing and as well variation in markets.
My typical monthly costs runs to Kshs. 35,000. Sales revenues and profits runs to Kshs. 40,000.I will use the loan in purchasing items that i currently don't have to add value to my business and later on as i continue selling i will be repaying my loan.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be used in purchasing of more materials , clothes as well as in meeting my clients expectations.First and foremost i wish to thank the Zidisha team for approving my loan application and indeed , your goal of eradicating poverty is a welcome move. Poverty is at the grassroots and this is where you are targeting.Congratulations. I will be updating you from time to time till i settle my first loan.
