About Me

My names are as indicated in this application. I am married with three children 7 years, 9 years and 15 years respectively. I stay with my wife a place called Mtwapa near Golden Key School. I decided to start a business as I am not employed as I did not succeed to finish my studies. Insufficient funds were the whole problem that led me not to complete school. So as I had a business mind I decided to start this kind of business of selling charcoal. Me with my wife are a family that is not well off so we need to work extra harder to make life move on and to try our level best to educate our kids so that they should not come and experience the same like us. The family that I come from also is not that well off and there are my brothers and sisters who some of them are still in school so I need also to contribute some little money for them to acquire knowledge. I do purchase the charcoal in small quantities and then sale them to my customers and the little money comes from the small savings that i normally save with my wife so that the business can move. As fro my family i wished to try my level best so that i can bring it to be of good importance as i want to business minded so that i can develop my own home and enable my family to live a life that is good and a long well lived life. Also it will help me in many ways as i will be in a position to cater for school fees of my children and provide me with the daily bread at home. As a family it needs a lot of things to have especially when one has children. This is why i came with this idea of starting selling charcoal. My biggest aim is that i want to become a business person with dealing in a bigger ground as i can see when getting that capability then i can prove it because i am very willing to do it with all my heart. With this regard i can say this business has helped me to run this family with the little. So i need to expand it and move it on to be big business.

My Business

As i said before that this charcoal business is the one i run and it has a much higher demand in today's competition here in Mtwapa. Many people are not used to use electricity gases or paraffin for cooking so they rely on charcoal as a cheaper and easy way of cooking. Adding to that they are people who in the morning go to work and in the evening they find it easy to use this as it is accessible to them because some of them i offer a door step delivery. I find it to be profitable as because when you sale a sack of charcoal that you you get it back with a good profit on it. But again the risks that i encounter are i still sale in small stock as i do not have cash to purchase a big stock. The coasts i get monthly are rent oof about 3000/=, county council charges, and transport costs for the charcoal. The estimated profit per month is around 3,000/= and this assist me in sorting other issues at home. With this i decided to ask for this loan from your Zidisha Team as i had longed to expand it and be a big charcoal business. I will be happy when i am given this golden opportunity so that i can add more stock and enable me to retain my customers. In fact they like and appreciated my services as i offer to them a door to door delivery either in small quantities or even in sacks. So they like it and when i expand it i believe i will be in a good position to attract more customers to my business. I have customers who its a must for me to deliver to them my product as it is of good quality and i sale in affordable and low cost. Thereby i strongly request when given this loan i will make it grow big and my customers will enjoy getting my services. I humbly look to hear from you.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be used to be buy more charcoal in bulk and transport it from those who make to where i operate. I will also rent another room where there is good security. Also i will look for any means of transport that will enable me to transport the charcoal every time i transport from charcoal makers. I will be needed to buy a bicycle to offer door to door delivery to my customers.
