About Me

iam julius maigwa, husband to ann waweru who has a loan with you and is still repaiying it .iam saved and going to heaven by faith.i fellowship with the full gospel churches of kenya.as a family .we have benefited from zidisha.we used our first loan to buy a posho mill which is operating even now .we used our second loan to build one rental house because the money we were rent by zidisha was not enough to buy a pickup vehicle which was our dream.i an the one who introduced zidisha in rongai after i welcomed Laurene to my place and stayed with her for almost a week.i have also helped other zidisha officers such as Traci meet zidisha members in their respective businesses. The last person to house was Andrew weber who spent a night at our place.my business is quit okay because iam able to sell about 10 crates in a week and each crate fetches about sh2000.one of my achievements is that iam able to pay up the fees of my three children who are in boarding.

My Business

i have constructed a green house and it is now operational. During its initial construction ,i spent 420000 to buy the polythene covers for the top and the sides. i also bought nets for the sides to prevent the build up of heat inside the greenhouse.i plant tomatoes and iam busy preparing the soils and the seedlings ready for planting.iam also a teacher at kandutura secondary school and i also help other people within my area join zidisha. The seedbeds are almost ready and i have manured them well to ensure soil fertility is well maintained.i bought tomato seeds ANNA FI, a hybrid from Netherlands and they are now in the nursery for two weeks.i expect to plant the seedlings after three weeks .one of the main challenges in the growth of tomatoes in the green house are the white flies that ruin the tomatoes. It is also impossible to work in the green house especially at 1.00pm due to high temperatures .At times the tomatoes do not fetch good prices in the local market due to overproduction

Loan Proposal

the loan will be used to buy tomato seedlings for my greenhouse.I expect to plant a new variety of tomato seedlings likely to cost 5000.the remaining balance will be used to buy insect ides for spraying the tomatoes until they the time they mature up.labor cost has been allocated ksh 5000.The greenhouse needs to be weeded.Harvesting of vegetables has to be done .At this particular time , i have over 500 mature cabbages which i anticipate to sell by this December @ksh 40 each
