About Me

My names are Ann Akimant Lothigiria. I am a Kenyan lady aged 24 years old. I was in Oserian in Naivasha District in 1988 being the fifth born in a family of ten children, seven brothers and three sisters. I attended my nursery school in 1991 at Mirera nursery school where we used to stay after the move to Oserian . I later joined Mirera primary school in 1993 where I dropped out in standard two due to lack of school fees. I was so bad for me because by that time I knew nothing due to school work so you can guess I know nothing about school work. I moved back home while I was helping my parents with domestic works such as fetching fire wood at Kedong farm and selling some of them n order to sustain my big family there. We Stayed Oserian for some few years after we migrated to Kiandege after my parents got sucked in Oserian farm. Due to no education, I met my lovely husband in the year 1999 when I was 12 years old. We are happily blessed with five children, five girls and one boy. Currently my husband is a hawker selling some plastic materials house to house while myself am a shopkeeper.

My Business

In the year 2009, I started by selling a green grocery in an open door, I loved this because it was an open door business, I loved my work so much because I as a woman I would get my own casha without asking from my husband. I went on slowly by slowly and I found it working because I would get a got profit in that. I started a business of buying and selling goats that I later sold them at good prices. Later I dropped the business because of some consequences. I then started a business of poultry that helped e so much. Later on I rented a half an acre of land that I used to plant some vegetables. This went on well while it made me to employ some two more women so that they can help me with farm work. I have been moving well from that time while at the moment I dropped all what I was doing and started a shop by all my hard work. I want to improve my work by that is a shop by selling in whole sale. Thus am asking Zidisha to help me in this.

Loan Proposal

the money which i will get i will use it to add more stock of goats and chickens. i will also have some people who will be helping me in marketing. i also would like to add stock in my shop that is selling of cereals ,i also will use this loan to employ someone to be helping me bring stock in my shop.
