About Me

I am a Zambian based musician and actor using my influence to influence local communities and being a motivational speaker to the youthful following that I have. I have been profiled by CNN program African Voices and have had the privilege of being a part of a USAID funded TV drama 'Love Games'. I was raised in a low income community within the capital city of Zambia, Lusaka by a single mother and while seeing members of my community waste away due to poverty, substance abuse and disease, music gave me purpose and I overcame my circumstances and I tell my story every chance I get. I understand that I have a voice in my community and by using my voice to speak to underprivileged children, I open up their minds to a world of possibility and seek to inspire them to dream beyond the reach of their eyes.

My Business

My business is in music production and performance, audio advertising, branded apparel and visual arts in the form of film. I was signed to a major record label but I felt like being dependent on it limited my personal growth so I took the bold step of restarting my career on my own. I have so far funded my own projects but I still have opportunities to grow further with a significant capital injection. My influence is fueled by my relevance and my relevance comes from having products for people's consumption in form of either audio or video form which propels the sell of both albums and branded merchandise. My typical costs are for studio, printing and video equipment which I typically outsource but would love to procure my own as time goes by.

Loan Proposal

The loan will help me subsidise a $600 music video project which will be meant for television and online. This will be right in time for festival season which starts in early april. This will mean more bookings which are rated at a minimum of $700 per show with a minimum of two shows a month.

    Talked to Sam over the phone, he mentioned he has been away and had no access to Mobile Money payment services. I also asked him to post a comment as soon as he can to explain his delay as well. He assured me he would make due payments soon.

    Managed to set up my foundation and we are able currently helping mentor kids from all across the city with a projected growth into two other cities

    My last loan was a studio fees project. It helped me pay for recording a song which received mass appeal and helped in my selection for a fellowship in the United States which saw me spend 6 weeks in Philadelphia and a week in Washington D.C learning best practices which will in turn help me channel my influence in the right direction.

    My last loan assisted me with settling studio fees for an audio for a radio single which went on to go to number 2 on the country's most prominent charts. It opened the door for me to be invited onto some of the bigger stages and growing my brand further. Because of a few adverse factors, I couldn't shoot a music video for it which would have propelled my single further but it set me up for the success of my next move which will allow for a longer set when on stage which equals a higher booking fee.
