About Me

My name is Philip Okello Okumu,Im married with three children who are by now schooling in a private school.I live in Tingolo village in Tingolo sub-location in Marachi East in Butula in Busia county.Im a boda-boda Tuk-tuk business-man.Im a class eight leaver in Tingolo primary.I started this business basically to earn a leaving and to improve my family.I purchase various items from the earnings of my business such as petrol fuel,oil,side-mirrors,cables,gloves,canvas for shelter etc.I also buy medicine,clothes,transport and also pay school fees for my children etc.Hope to expand my business by buying another Tuk-tuk when Zidisha boost me by loaning me.

My Business

My business is Boda-boda-using a Tuk-tuk.It provides the transporting of people with their belongings from one place to another by using a Tuk-tuk.There is high demand of this business because people daily need to move from one place either for work or to meet other people at other places.My customers prefer to my business because I'm faithful and dedicated and sophisticated boda-boda business man.The business is profitable because for instance one liter of petrol worth ksh:150 can produce ksh:450 atleast a profit of ksh:300 per liter.Risks that face my business are lack of funds and unstable economy in Kenya.My typical monthly income is ksh:45000/= and my monthly expenditure is ksh:30000/= therefore my profit is ksh:15000/=of which can repay Zidisha loan without any problem.

Loan Proposal

This loan will be used to boost my business by buying the petrol fuel to enhance the Tuk-tuk business go without any problem and then will make sure that the Tuk-tuk is in good condition especially the covers or the canvas for shelter and finally will use the money to buy the passengers seats so that our passengers seat comfortably and through this will attract many customers hence improve my income.
