About Me

I am a 25 year old lady, who comes from a very humble beginning , Born as a first born with three other siblings, a sister and two brothers. My father is a small scale farmer and my mother a housewife. I am a diploma holder of Kenya Institute of management, I thank God for enabling me reach here as it was a big struggle for my parents to raise school fees for me and my fellow siblings. After completion of my diploma I searched for a job and could not find one since there is scarcity of jobs in my country, I opted to help farming at my home and raised some money to start a small business.I also looked for a bank to finance me and boost my capital, I got a loan from consolidated and started up a small business for beauty and fashions, I always believed in myself with a good taste many would like and being a woman I love being beautiful so I added some beauty products in it. i was so determined because I knew my siblings wont go on with education as if I didn't support my dad raise school fees. I am happy because I am able to support pay school fees and believes there is a bright future in this business for me, my siblings and our community at large because i believe it will grow and offer employment which is very scarce in my country.

My Business

I do a business of selling clothes for ladies and children together with the beauty products. The reason I ventured to this is to quench the thirst of looking good by women by providing latest fashions that are affordable. I am able to buy these clothes and beauty products still from within my country city Nairobi and sell them at a reasonable price. My customers prefers me because I sell them at fair prices that are affordable.the Challenges that I face include competition from other people in the same business who are highly stocked due to their capital levels and can provide a wide range of the goods, and can even manage cross the border to other countries where they get high quality fabrics and beauty products like in Turkey, Dubai, e.tc. The profits I get i use to pay school fees for my siblings, two are in high school and one in the university of Pwani. I believe with the loans from Zidisha I can grow this business, my siblings will all get the education they need, create employment for other youths like me and help my parents in farming as they are aged now.

Loan Proposal

This loan will help me buy beauty products stocks that I have found as an opportunity and stock in my business. I specialize in selling clothes for ladies and children and have found out that whenever my customers are buying clothes, who are ladies will always ask for a specific beauty product that I do not have in stock. I is always a challenge because these customers will even end up going to my competitors to buy there, I always feel if I would have more of these , they will help me maintain my customers, the business will satisfy them and at the end I will grow my business to greater heights and this will be part of my help to achieve my dreams of paying school fees to my younger siblings and create employment in the business which is quite scarce in my country.
