About Me

I’m Onchiri James from the large Onchiri family. currently I reside and do business in Nakuru with a small grocery business and a small dairy handling and selling 100 liters a day. I'd like to extend both business to boost me economically thus seeking a financial support to boost me in realizing my financial goals. Being a graduate in commerce from a local university, I know what it takes to manage a business and expand it to realize the full potential of the support I receive. what drove me into the business is because I identified an untapped gap that I want to exploit it fully. That has employed me instead of the white collar jobs. The funds that I get from the business, I use them to internally expand the business and also to pay the rent for the dairy room and also conform with the local municipality rules. currently, the income is increasing due to more customers. Also the grocery has picked well generating about sh500 per day as profit. This has made me expand the business so as to reach the target of about sh 1000 per day or even more. The loan I’m seeking will also help me use the other untapped business gaps

My Business

At my rural farm,i'm a farmer growing both the 6 month crops and three month crops like cabbages.the dairy for milk provides a better opportunity to repay back the loan.
in addition, the dairy that is currently handling some 100-200 litres is able to supplement the funds for repayment. The fruit grocery also is able to give me some 400 shilling s on top .this is after deducting the funds that i use in the purchase of the fruits and the payment of the municipality charges.in addition i also at weekends join and write online essays on the Upwork writing.this in addition gives me an extra of 5000-7000 according to the work and the amount of proposals given out

Loan Proposal

this will help me add stock of the grocery especially when this festive season is ongoing.the demand for the fruits is absolutely high and i want to tame the opportunity also the remaining funds will add up to the amount of milk that is demanded .the quantity should be increased due to demand factors.

I quite grateful for the funds I received even though I have delayed to post a feedback to you. The funds (4,146) arrived at a critical point in the time when the business and the market are absolutely experiencing the bull whip market forces. The funds will be simply be used to buy the stock which inflates and also to buy the substitutes that will be important in cushioning the uptrends.
Other than that, I will also use the funds to renovate the kiosk where the grocery is.
I must give credit to you lenders. You truly had a mission to bring ‘light’ to us. What else other than thanks and god bless?

I’m quite grateful for the loan for my business expansion. The loan will be mainly to expand my business and to surface my ‘diversification’ idea. This wouldn’t benefit me only but my forecast is to recruit one individual to help me the now established business concurrently. I’ll keep on paying the loan and updating the statuses to ensure that you (the lenders) realize the value of your investment.
    Thanks and God bless!!

The year seems to have a different twist in business. My business is taking shape despite the challenges i had faced in the last half of the year. More customer loyalty is picking pace. This is a year of good hope in my business. Fortunate enough, my plan to diversify and revive the grocery is worth picking. I must be proud to let my lenders know that my sister is self employed through these ZIDISHA loans despite setback we had last year.
As I post this message now, the business is able to run on itself. The funds I’d saved have enabled me inject back and it both business are running on their own ploughed back profits.
Before I seek more funds to expand and hold on the business, I must apologize to my lenders for this late payment of my past loan.
i had talked to my mentor and explained to him the challenges I had faced but i tried my best to reduce the gap to a more manageable one.
As the business continues to grow, I’ll seek to settle those funds so as not to frustrate my lenders.
I’m committed to expand under a challenging ground but at last I believe I can! Thanks to all participants who made me as I am today.

I'm glad to contact my precious lenders back. I'd taken a brief "holiday " where I was forced to close it for a while. I closed it not because of poor finance management but the circumstances that had engrossed my life[from my larger family that made me use the proceeds I'd planned to invest further in trying to save that situation ]. I'm proud that the assets are intact, the room and I've also paid for renewal of operating permit.I'll ensure I'll finish my payments to ensure my commitment on you.thanks and God be with you!!

    Hi lenders,
I have spoken to James Onchiri who told me that he`s doing well health wise.
He declined commenting on when he is planning to pay his next installment. Since he had rescheduled earlier and hasn`t paid any amount since then, he therefore cannot reschedule.
I have advised him to pay whatever amount he can afford to pay so that he be allowed to reschedule.
Let`s hope he will open up his eyes and see beyond limitations that zidisha can actually change his lives permanently if only he communicate out honestly.
    Regards
    V.M

Hi James, I can see you haven't made a payment since july of this year. The previous note from your mentor Victor said that you would make a payment in august, but this has not happened. Could you please give us an update on your business and when we can expect you to resume your payments?
