About Me

My name is Dennis okiro from kisii Kenya a place called Ogembo sameta. I am 31 years old am married with one kid. I went to school at sameta primary then later joined kegogi high school but I had to dropped out due to limited funds. My hope of going back to school diminished when both my parents passed away.
After this turn of events I and my siblings had to find ways to survive. That's when I joined one of the carpenter around our area as his assistant. He thought me the skill of carpentry till I was able to do by my own. Currently I own my own workshop where I make all sorts of items for my clients depending on their orders.

My Business

I started my business back in 2012 this was after I had been trained. From my training I used to get a little allowance so I saved the money. When I had saved enough I decided to go and open my own work shop.
In my workshop I make all sorts of items. I make chairs, beds stools, tables.
Due to my good work I have a no. Of clients who order new items and some bring their broken items for repairs. In a month I am to make a profit of at least 15000. This is after I have paid the rent of my workshop as well paid for the materials like timber, plywood, nails, paint, nails and all other small costs that arise.
I use my profit to take care of my family i.e pay for my kids school fees and other expenses at home.
It my hope that Zidisha will help my business go into another level.
Am so grateful for this opportunity.
