About Me

My name is Grace Wanjiru Gichanga. Some years back when l was still in school my dad passed on. we' ve been brought up in hardships though we never lucked the basic needs. So in my childhood l learned early how to be independent. l worked hard in school and l was able to gain basic knowledge and that has really contributed to my life positively. Am now married with two kids. A Boy 14yrs and a girl 10yrs.

My Business

Am currently employed and l have a monthly salary. But besides employment, l do small scale farming. l thought of farming after realizing l don't get very fresh vegetables whenever am interested in buying. And so l started farming a variety of vegetables for my own use, and later expanded to farming for business. The profit l get. l use to assist my mum back at home and also help in doing shopping for my home.

Loan Proposal

I have always wanted to do a side job apart from my employment. I came up with trying farming fresh vegetables. With my first loan, l was able to start with a small space and for sure l was able to do a lot on that space. Hoping to get a bigger loan for my second application, l have surveyed and came up with a plan to enlarge my farm and venture into different types of vegetables. Apart from the profit l collect from vegetable sales, l also encourage my neighbours to eat healthy. In kenya, we like eating different types of meat, but nowadays people are very much into vegetable which is good for their health. Am already looking for a place l can get a bigger space that can accommodate my plan for planting many different types of fresh vegetables. I will also require material for fencing and preparing the farm. Looking forward to farming big. Thank you.

I sincerely thank all my Lenders for having faith in me. With my last loan, I was able to enlarge my farm, I was also able to increase different varieties of vegetables on the farm. The profit I acquired helped me pay school fees for my kids, especially my son who is going to high school next year. Thanks.
