Hallo to you all,My name are Mr.Dickson Macharia Karimi, born in 1959 in Nyeri District,in a village called Mathira.I am a father of 3 children,2 boys-Joseph,Philip and Salome with my very beautiful wife Mrs.Mary Nyambura Karimi.I am the Church Elder in our local church ,this has molded me to be a fully committed Christian and brought up my children in a Christian way and now they are responsible fathers while my daughter is in Moi University.
After completing A-levels,I was employed in Egerton University as an Accountant and I worked there until 2010 where I took my early retirement to join other entrepreneurs in the world of business and self-governance.With my retirement benefits I started my Bakery shop business here in Solai because their were no existing Bakery business around this area.
When I started this business I had already done my feasibility study so that to come up with this kind of business in this area, people in this area use to depend on bakery products that came from Nakuru Town which is about 30 kilometers and most of them were not used to be fresh, now am proud to bring a bakery closer to this community because now they are able to have their fresh bread, cakes ,doughnuts, biscuits and other products that are being prepared in this bakery.Currently I have a team of 3 workers whom I have employed in this bakery and the business is doing great, the money that I get from this business it has assisted me to bring up my family atleast the way I can say am proud to start this business. From the February sales were Ksh 60,270/=.Out of this money I paid salaries of Ksh 18000/=,Electricity Ksh 1,200/= and paid my daughters fees Ksh 20,000/= and the profit I made for that month was Ksh 21,070/=.Out of the loan Zidisha team will offer to me and my business,I will use it to the business to add more Baking Ingredients and make it more profitable and later I am looking forward to in opening a selling point around the place about 2 kilometers from the bakery ,so atleast to be more closer to the community and have more suppliers of the products, this will also create an employment opportunity to young teenagers of this area.It is my humble request that Zidisha will approve my loan pledge, and thanks in advance for Zidisha to grant me this opportunity to join the global peer-to-peer micro-finance.
Once again i take this chance to thank Zidisha fraternity for granting me and my business an opportunity to benefit from the loan, for this loan that you have offered to me and my business ,i will use it to the business to add more baking ingredients, out of which more products will be produced and in return to have made more profit .Later on i will be looking forward on how to expand in opening a selling point around the place about 2 kilometers from the bakery, so atleast to be more closer to the community and have more suppliers of the products.Thank you again as now i have a future for my business as it will benefit my family ,myself and the locals.
