Am Kevin otieno am 27 years old. I went to St Aquinas madende secondary for my O level which I finished 2004.i live with my young brother who I pay for school fees as well as looking after him.
My parents live back upcountry .am the fist born in my family and I have the responsibility to look after my siblings since my parents are of age .due to the inspiration of my friends I was able to join my fellow youth on the business of selling cloths at the open air market . I used to sell shoes for a certain mother in the market here in Bumala after which I was able to get some my share in merry go round organization that we had with my fellow boys. From the money I acquired I was able to get a few shoes just from the market. From my fifth sell I was in a position to travel to Kampala t get my goods which I bought them at affair price.
I have been able to get money that has enabled me to take my young brother to school and look after him fully
I sell sheos that's men, ladies and children wear.I do not have specified shop but do move from one open air market to another to sell my products depending on whichever market day.I do always goes to these open air markets:-Busia,Funyula,Port and Bumala. But on non market day i do sell at Busia open air market.
This business i started with my own little saving and since then i have seen its gradual growth.I buy shoes in Uganda in large quantity(bale) at low price then sell in Kenya at good price too. This attract many buyers and hence good frofit. My customers love my product simply because they are from Kampala Uganda are compared to other competitors who bring from Nairobi. My business is profitable,it pays all my daily needs.I have only cost of transportation and county council levy. The risk am facing is during rainy season because i have no shop when its raining it become harder to operate.
First i take this opportunity to thank you so much for your last support and allowing me to post another loan.I am going to use the loan to add more shoes and clothes for men, ladies and children.Shoes i am going to travel to Kampala Uganda to purchase while clothes to purchase in Nairobi.KES 20000 will be spent on shoes and another KES 18000 will be used on clothes.
