About Me

I am a 37 year old mother of 2. I have a Diploma in marketing and a certificate in secretarial studies. I have a small store where I sell household goods such as utensils, basins, sanitary towels, plastic bags, and baby toys.

I started the business mainly to support my children go through education since I was a single mother. Eventually, the business became my main source of income and it has seen steady grown since then.

However, a financial boost will make it grow even more and take me to greater heights as a businesswoman.

My Business

I have a small store in Kutus where I sell household goods such as utensils, basins, sanitary towels, plastic bags, and baby toys. This is how I earn,

Monthly income $ 580 (Kshs 52,700)
Expenses $ 150 (Kshs 13,000)
Miscellaneous $ 100 (Kshs 8,700)
Food and Rent $ 200 (Kshs 16,000)
Profit $ 150 (Kshs 13,000)


These are average figure, based on months when business is low. During peak seasons like December, I make up to $ 1000. If I get this loan from Zidisha, I will add more stock in to my business and spur growth. Basically, the loan will be used to expand my business which in turn means bigger profit margins.

Loan Proposal

I operate 2 small shops in Kutus, Kerugoya where I deal with groceries and household goods like utensils, sanitary towels, baby toys and other fast moving goods. I am seeking this loan to increase stock in my shop so that I can adequately meet my customers demands. I have a good customers base bearing in mind that I have been in this business for more than 5 years now. Increasing more stock means I will have more wares to sell thus more profit. I have plans to open more shops within Kerugoya and Zidisha would give me the boost I need to make my dreams come true.
