About Me

I am Chikpa Kwabena Meakpa, a 27 year old Ghanaian from Sunyani but currently stay at Nsawkaw in the Tain District in the Brong/Ahafo region of Ghana. I started my education at the St. James primary and Junior High school and then furthered to Salaga Senior High School. I then obtained my first degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology and currently work as a Pharmacy assistant at the Tain District Hospital, Nsawkaw. After sometime at Nsawkaw, I realised that most of the children lacked academic utilities so I decided to help them. Some go to school without school bag, others go with old and torn school dresses. Others have to beg for chop money (very common) and some also have dropped out due to these hardship. People in the town are kind and respectful. I like reading, listening to music and playing games.

My Business

I am a Parmacy assistant at the Tain District Hospital, Nsawkaw. I give out drugs to patients as being prescribed by the physicians. My work is very very useful because giving the right drugs to the patient is very crucial. I do this to help in the process of eradicating diseases from the community. I chose to do this job to help assist in the tratment of diseases. It is so sad when we always hear about the poor health of most Ghanaians. I jsut wanted to help my people to stand unto their feet stronger and contribute to the nation's development. Each month, I receive a salary part of which I use to cater for myself and family members and part to assist the needy children in the community. I want t use the loan to support these children so that they could also go to school to the hihest level and contribute positively to the developemnt of the country. I want them to become better citizens in the future. Thank you.

Loan Proposal

If I am given the loan, I will use it to assist in the payment of the children's school fees, buy books, buy table and chairs, buy sandals and shoes for these children. These children have tasted poverty for a very long time and are seeking for your help. Feeding fee for school is a very popular problem among the children. Some have to fast almost half of the day. I have been taking care of them with my own money but now I want you to help me buy enough academic utilities such as books and pens for their academic work and provide proper care to them. Their future depends on you so please kindly help these children achieve their aim.

Thank you for your question @Rose. That is why I have spread the payment in manner that will be suitable for me to pay with my monthly salary. Also I am looking forward to investing in a rice plantation business with a friend.
I decided to come for the loan due to this plantation plan so that the children would always get their fees paid and also being fed well.
I hope I get enough profit from the plantation business so that I can help more people. Thanks once again for the question.

Hello! It seems you have a very noble cause, I applaud your work so far, but I have an important question. I always want to be sure a loan is really helpful, that it is the right finance to move people forward. I'm wondering why a loan is the best way to finance this idea. Your write up doesn't indicate that your income will increase after the investment to help you pay more back. I'm not sure if their school fees must be paid upfront so you need a lump sum right now or you just want to help more people faster. I worry that by having more of the money now but paying more in the long term it is not helpful. I hope you understand my question and you can continue your work. Rose. xx
