About Me

My name is Belinda Nkandu and I live in Misisi compound in the city of Lusaka the capital city of Zambia.
I completed my secondary level education and then I went to Evelyn Hone College to study a Diploma course in business studies of which I graduated successfully. After my graduation I got a job with a telecom company were I worked as sales representative for 3 three years until my contract came to an end.

Therefore I started running a business of my own and I became self employed. I started my business up on being given gratuity when my contract ended and I did not renew it. So far have running the business am into for 3 and half years from the time I left employment.

My Business

I own a shop in the central business of Lusaka town at COMESA Market which located a long Lumumba road. At my shop I sale beddings such as blankets, Duvets , bedsheets, rappers for women and babies clothing. I order these goods in Botswana.

By selling these goods I make and earn profits which sustains the business and that of my family today and that is how generate my source my of income.
From this business I make a lot of profits because each blanket is 850 ZMW and if sell 10 per day I make 8,500 ZMW. Therefore should my be successful I need order more blankets because we in cold season and bedding sales increases due to increase in demand.

Project Proposal

I want to travel to Botswana to buy a bale of different types of blankets, there is high demand of blankets or beddings because of the old season , Hence I want to take advantage and buy more blankets for sale and make more profits to grow the business.
