Am Kipkoech Vincent, Single aged 28 years old. Am a male Kenyan Citizen by birth from Kericho County a village called Kiptaldal. Am the last born child of a family of Seven three girls and four boys. I went to Moi Sitotwet Secondary School from the year 2003 where I sat for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) in the year 2006. I attended Nairobi Aviation College for Business Management in the year 2012, then I Joined Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) for Business Management where I completed last 2014 July. Currently am a self employed running a one acre parcel of land doing farming at Kiptaldal village where am planting Sukuma wiki (kales), cabbages, Onions, three points of an acre of tea leaves and beans. I also normally supply kales and beans to a new secondary school. I choose to venture into this business because there was a competition of cabbages, kales and onions because most people plant tea leaves in their Shambas thus few people planting the said crops. I normally am planting these crops actually at time of sunny season.
With the profit I earned from the farming I used to pay bills, cater for my welfare and save some. At my free time I like travelling, listening to Gospel Music, do community services. Am God fearing Man, Humble, Disciplined and self driven. My Mission and Vision is achieved my dreams. I thank Him He has brought me this far.
As I have stated earlier that I owned a land for farming at Kiptaldal village, which is situated at Sosiot market along Sosiot - Sondu Highway. My farming deals with the following crops:-
1. Sukuma Wiki (Kales).
2. Cabbages.
3. Onions.
4. Beans.
5. Tea Leaves.
The farming is doing well despite of drought seasons in the country. Farming is a good choice for me despite that at times it’s a challenging when the demand is low. Am planning to purchase a money maker and a generator to irrigate the farm. My profit ranges between Kshs. 20,000 – 25,000 monthly which I used to pay bills and cater for my welfare. So given Zidisha loan I will be able to purchase a money maker and pipes for irrigation to ease the easiest farming and to generate more produce to sell to more consumers.
