I have been managing my barber shop since I completed my college . I started the business 2 years a go with a single shaving machine, some cleaning materials, after shaves and a mirror. after a year I managed to rent a permanent building shop which I furnished to a complete barber shop with the help of some donation from my mother .The barber is named WEMBLEY BARBERSESHOP located in within kayole estate, Nairobi eastlands NEAR ROCKS STAGE, I started the business because I wanted to earn my own money to sustain my life and that of my siblings when they are in need of my help.have manage to purchase motorbike which is commonly used as a means of transport here in kenya. My hobbies are swimming and watching football.
My barbershop business is located in one of the streets at Umoja.I have run it for one year now and it has been good despite the challenges. I have hired some young man to assist me to do the haircuts. I make an average of Ksh.500 per day after paying my worker. There is a lot of competition here but I have hired a very skilled and professional person to work. We are very hygienic and stylish and most young people come to shave with us. Our target market is the busy town during market days and students from the neighboring schools. We charge a flat rate of ksh50 per cut including the mustache. We are facing some challenges that I hope the lenders will assist me go through. We have poor furniture and shaving machine which includes poor seats and we need a huge mirror for the shop to keep up with the competition. I have a dream that my Kinyozi will be one of the best and I know with Zidisha, my dream is valid.
