About Me

I was born in Narok district today i live Nakuru county, my parents later relocated to Njoro division where they bought land. I attended Subuku primary school which neighbors our home, after completing my Kenya Certificate of Primary school, I joined Friends Academy Egerton University, I later transferred to a public school called Gichobo Secondary School. During school holidays I used to buy second hand clothes and do hawking business in the neighbourhood, Am a born again I attend Blessing Assurance Fellowship located 500 meters from our residence. 2013 i acquired a small plot of land where am living today. I operate a boutique in kihingo centre, where I sell second hand clothes and new clothes, I chose to do business it has been my dream career since when a small boy. I have a strong passion to do business and become one of the greatest businessmen in the county of Nakuru. last year i diversified my business and established a poultry keeping type of business

My Business

I am operating a poultry business where I have 140 layers that have reached the rearing stage. These layers are of exotic breeds and the eggs have a high demand since the market is too wide in Nakuru town. Most of the poultry keepers stopped rearing layers because of high prices of chicken feeds and others shifted to the quail business. I took this one as a big business opportunity. I bought a grinding machine and a mixer this has enabled me to make my own feeds at a very cheap cost. This has enabled me to produce eggs at a very low cost and a very high profit margin. Am intending to buy 200more layers once I get funded and this will enable me supply more eggs and meet the needs of my customers. I also get additional revenue from the sale of surplus chick feeds. In a week I sell approximately 1000 eggs minus broken eggs and sell at wholesale price of kes 11 this translates to Kes 11,000 and incur a weekly cost of Kes 4,000 and get approximately Kes 7,000 as profit per week.

Loan Proposal

Once my loan is fully funded I will use the loan as an additional capital to my weekly returns to buy additional layers so that I can be able to meet my customers demands since the devolution took place business activities are expanding so fast and there is also an increasing need of the consumers. There are so mushrooming of hotels in outskirts and the Central business district this has made the demand of eggs to grow rapidly.
