i am a 21 year old holder of certificate in accounting from KCA (Kenya college of accountancy)I completed the certificate course 6 months ago.i stay in kapsetek center muserech town nakuru county.I am the 3rd borne in our family .l started the business of poultry farming after working for six months as a school accounts assistant and money from my mother who does dairy farming. farming as a business has been in the family for long and mine has just been to continue with it from my family.I have fully now ventured into business that is poultry because i have the relevant experience and also that i find it as a chance to make money and be self employed in a country where formal employment is a challenge.Another reason as to why i started the business is because i saw a market in the sale of eggs and also broilers for chicken meat as i now supply muserech town and ravine with eggs and broilers.the money from the business i use to buy more birds and also buy feeds and the remaining i use to pay my bills.my hobbies include swimming and reading books and most of my free time i mentor children in the near by school orinie in accounting principles.
i rare poultry for sale both broilers and layers for egg.my business is located at my home in kapsetek center, muserech town nakuru county.I have ventured into this business because of the market that is there for chicken.in my area there are few people that rare poultry making me have many customers who come and buy for retain or even the hotels around who have chicken in their menus so i supply them.I do delivery for my customers and maintain a good customer relationship such that they find it easy to deal with me hence prefer coming to my business than going to competition.the risk that is in this business is the prevalence of poultry diseases that i guard against through regular vaccination and maintaining high level of cleanliness.my typical earning in a month through sale of broilers and egg is between USD110 TO USD125. the money which l use to plough back in the business; buying more birds and also extending the structure i have made for them.
thanks zidisha team and lenders as well for chance of loans when l get this loan l will purchase local birds which is on high demand at a cost of 120 dollars l will also build structures to keep birds safe at cost of 40 dollars the money that l get from selling this birds l will use it to expand my business, and improve my living standard around muserech due to high cost of living
