About Me

I started my education at mpatasie Presbyterian school and proceeded to Berekum senior high school.
I could not could not continue my education to the tertiary level due to financial problem.I was employed at Formghana Ltd which I work as a gardener after my secomdary school education.
My monthly income was use to support my brother in the university till he completed. Income from my savings was use to acquire a land to plant teak and cedar.Now I own a teak and cedar plantation farm. This is how I overcame hardship in life.
People in my community and kind to visitors. They are also hardworking.
Most of them are farmers while others are government workers.
The children in my community study hard. Some of them wants to be health workers and others want to be teachers when they grow.
I like playing oware as my hoppy. It is played by two people. Oware is carved wood with twelve holes. Six at one side an six at the other side. There are four seeds in each hole. So each player has twenty four seeds. So at the end of the game the player that has the higher number of seeds has won the game.

My Business

I am a farmer.. I am into mixed farming which includes Teak, cedar, cocoa and also plantain and cassava crop. I chose that business because my family has large acres of land which is fertile.
The demand for cocoa is very high and for that reason the government has set an institution called Ghana Cocoboard. They are in charge of buying cocoa in my country from all farmers. The teak and the cedar are timbers. They are used in carpentry works. That is making of doors,chairs tables and others. Man will not be able to live on earth without food. The plantain and the cassava serves as food to mankind. I do supply many plantains and cassava tubers to market women for sale.
It cost $500 to run my farm business on monthly basis and I do earn 30% returns in every two weeks.

Loan Proposal

The loan, if received, will be use to buy chemicals to control pest in my cocoa farm. Good farming method I employed las year has yielded result. Feriliser application, pest control, prunning and weed control have contributed the result of big harvest this year. The harvest from my cocoa farm was four bags last year. The harvest for this year is twelve bags
So in other to increase yield the following year, I have to start early pest control.
So if the loan is given to me, I will buy chemical with the loan. The chemical will be used to control pest. This will contribute to high yield next year.
It will cost $250 to buy the chemicals. My profit is expected to increase by 40%.
