About Me

I am 32 years old and I am a Kenyan citizen. I am the third born in a family of seven. My home village is Kigumo in Murang'a County but I have been living in Mazeras Kilifi County in Coast Province for eight years now.

My education ended in secondary school, when I received the secondary certificate but could not proceed due to financial instability. After secondary school, I spent four years in Mazeras working at an EPZ as an MP mechanist. With my earnings, I quit employment and started my own electronics business. My main goal was to build a self-owned business to help support my family and earn a better living. Through the profits that I have earned, I have been able to improve my business and also support my little brother in his education by paying part of his school fees.

My Business

My source of income is from my own electronic business.

I repair radios, television, and DVDs that have failed working. I also sell electrical appliances like the extensions bulbs and tubes, sockets etc. My business is profitable because there is a high demand of electrical appliances.

However, there are also risks in my business. At times, some of my goods fail to operate as they should so I have to repair them first and sell them as second-hand goods because I have already broken the seal. Also, some of my items may be outdated. For instance, we are now moving from analogue to digital so I count the analogue items as dead stock.

Loan Proposal

I will use this Zidisha loan to buy spares for my electronics shop such as sub woofer, dvd motherboard, dvd lens plus some other spares. This will actually boast my business in that i will have them ready in my shop unlike there before customers would bring their tvs dvds and i had to go to town to look for them . Thanks to Zidisha for this chance.
