About Me

Peris Nazi Kalama was born and raised in kilifi. I am the fort born in a family of two boys and six girls. I attended mwarakaya primary school and completed primary e ducation. However, i did not manage to go to secondary school. Life was tough in the village so in early 2010 I relocated to mombasa where i enrolled for a course in dress making. I then managed to get employed asa a house help thats when i saved enough cash to purchase my own sawing machine and started making garments fo my friend and neighbours. The uniqueness of mombasa is the loving attitude of residents here unlike other cities in kenya, the swahili culturre is also very good and how most of women dress the vitenge and dera. Also the good sand beaches and hotels make mombasa good and unique.
I am blessed with two children who both want to become nurses. My hobbies is swimming, eating and travelling.

My Business

Dear Zidisha Team and all Lenders, kindly allow me to take this opportunity to thank you again for supporting my Tailoring Business. Your generosity has enabled me purchase my Electric Sewing Machine which has greatly improved my business. I now have alot of customers which has increased my work. Once again, I seek your support in lending me so that I buy more garment materials, deras and lessos which are mostly worn by females here in Mombasa. I need these products so that I make clothes and sell the deras and lessos during the Idd celebrations which are very near as my muslim brothers and sisters are in the month of Ramadhan and the celebration of Idd is just comming in a few days. This business is good for me as it makes me interact with alot of people from diffrent tribes and all walks of life. I believe I will make good profit to enable me offer the best for my family as I repay the loan. I will also use the profit to pay school fees for my two children, Evangeline and Quincy. I thank you much more for the trust and support that you have been giving me. I wish you and your families all the best.

Loan Proposal

Describe what you will do with the loan.
With this loan amount of $ 690, I plan to buy Garment fabrics worth $ 290. I will use the garments to produce cloths for my increasing customers mostly during this Idd celebrations which are a few days comming. I will use $ 200 to buy Deras which are very much loved here in mombasa. They are mostly worn by the swahili women and also loved by all women in general. I will also use $ 200 to buy Lessos which is a cloth worn by women too and it normally fetch good profit too. This is the breakdown that I intend to use this loan. Kindly assist in funding me and I thank you in advance.
