About Me

My name is Lydia Atego and am the fourth born in a family of five.I live in Nairobi in an area called Kawangware.I went to school in Nairobi for my primary education.However,for secondary education i went to a rural school which is in Imanga Mumias.I completed my form four in 2012 and got a C- mean grade.This grade did not allow me to join university.Therefore,i have been trying since then to get myself a job to help me get cash to save for college.I am hoping to study Business Administration.While i was looking for jobs which are scarce here in Nairobi i got to live with my aunt who makes beautiful tablecloths and seat covers from yarn.I really admired that and i wanted to learn.It wasn't as easy as it looked but with time i learnt how to do it.

My Business

My business is about crocheting baby dresses,booties,headbands and all kinds of kids stuff.I realized that making yarn table cloths and seat covers was getting outdated since most city people were acquiring modern sofas that dont need more decorations.So the demand for them kept going down by the day.Through the help of my aunt and youtube i was able to learn how to make very cute baby items.I see this as a viable business since i have already tried it and my customers keep asking for more.Lack of funds to buy the necessary materials is what is holding me back.I am positive that i will be able to repay the loan comfortably from my sales.I also aware that i will have to work harder and am determined to do it.

Loan Proposal

Hi,i am glad to have been told about zidisha,this is a really good platform for helping grow our businesses.I would like to request this loan to buy enough yarn for crocheting mostly baby items that are in demand.I will repay this loan through the cash i make in selling these items as well as my part time job where i do cleaning for people with busy schedules.Please assist me in achieving my goals of one day owning a big and profitable business.Thanks
