About Me

I am stella buandoh, i was born in accra. I live with my family, i have 2 sisters. I studied economics in the senior high school in 2011. My parents are not very rich so i could not continue further, ut i plan to continue my education one day when i get enough money. I stayed home and decided to work alittle, then later decided to start a small business for myself. I picked up some baking skills and have started a small bakery. I plan to save enough money and go back to school. i want to study hospitality management. i am able to buy petty things for myself and the house to relieve my parents a little from the economic pressure.

My Business

I have always wanted to do my own business. some years ago, i suggested to a friend who is a baker, she gave me some training from her bakery. During Christmas i baked some cakes sold them, it surprisingly went well and that was the beginning of my baking business. i use a simple gas oven belonging to my mother. Initially i had to borrow money from some family members to start, i paid back easily and invested the profits back into the business. i bake cup cakes and other tarts and sell on a table. Its fresh and nice and it sells very quickly. I now package in nice plastic bags before selling. I always have samples with me so that i give people to taste and that brings me more customers. I buy ingredients like half bag of flour, yeast, sugar, margarine, milk powder, nutmeg, flavour. 100gh worth of supplies can bring me back 200gh income by the end of the week. If nothing unforeseen happens, i am able to save 60 every week for myself.

Loan Proposal

This zidisha loan will help me to grow this business to a better level. i will buy better packaging materials to make my cakes more attractive to people. I will like to supply to schools, churches, supermarkets and banks in this area. That will widen my customer base. Selling on the table is not too attractive; with a loan i can also get a nice glass case for display of the cake. I plan to bigger and more modern oven too. thank you all
